Fast becoming known as “The Hipster Hangout in Galle Fort” The award-winning; Barista at Heritage Cafe is a landmark property in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site.  Featuring art creator; Sabrina Rennie's iconic up-cycled art pieces and welding works.

The Barista @ Heritage Cafe in the Fort is a must do for travellers in the South of Sri Lanka.  The Barista @ Heritage Cafe was listed in  Conde Nast Traveller  Magazine “How to visit Sri Lanka in 3 days”.

 Serving wonderful freshly roasted coffees and light meals.  It's open 7 days a week - 365 days a year.

The cafe features a diverse International menu from Asia, to Europe,  and beyond. Think: hand-crafted cakes, pastries and bread made fresh daily in our bakery. And of course and abundance of Sri Lanka’s freshest juices and shakes

From the world's first ever Elephant Tuk Tuk art vehicle (made from hand-hammered solid brass by art assembler Prageeth Manohansa), to a fully restored 1953 BSA motorbike, to 'Percy' the peahen made from recycled motorbike parts, 'Sudan' the friendly doorman come gangsta Rhino and an array of other on-of-a-kind art pieces.

The Heritage Bistro (Opening up again in August 2023)

The Heritage Bistro is themed on precious antiques and features the oldest oven in Southern Sri Lanka.  Located on one of the busiest corners of Galle Fort, with its whimsical style and sumptuous menu, such as: artisan pizza made from scratch, pasta made daily, amazing burgers, fresh seafood and lots more.
The Heritage Restaurant has something for everyone.

The food concept at Bistro side is to create food from scratch with heart. We firmly believe in fresh. From artisan breads, to stunning pizzas, freshly baked desserts, home-made sauces (do try our famed chilli oil), every element is curated with love and passion.

Barista @ The Heritage Cafe 

The Heritage is steeped in rich history. Located on the former site of the famed 'National Bakery'. The National Bakery was an institution for generations and featured the first wood-fired brick oven in Southern Sri Lanka. The oven has been carefully preserved and still stands at the Heritage. It dates backs almost 300 years.
